Beth Herbert and Mac.

Ryan, you may kiss the bride!
INSHORE –
The fishing has been very good for the conditions recently. The rains have just started to let up,(two days now with no rain) so the rivers have been clear at the mouths. Yesterday clients caught Mackerel, Jacks and Snapper.
OFFSHORE –
Dorado are still the main target but debris lines are not as common now so trolling is the way to find them. There are plenty. Sailfish are being seen daily and some Marlin have been raised recently. Wahoo are still being seen around structure.
FRESHWATER –
The rivers have been looking good and fishing well. On Saturday Machaca in the 3 pound range were eating size 2 weighted streamers in the afternoon on the lower part of the Savegre.

Lauren King and her first Roosterfish.

Rooster-face!
INSHORE – The fishing has been very good with a variety of species being seen this week. Corvina, Snapper, Mackerel, Dorado, Trippletail, and of course Roosterfish were all caught this past week.
OFFSHORE – The fishing has been all about Dorado. With the heavy rains that are falling locally, there has been plenty of debris floating along the current lines to keep Dorado interested. There have been Marlin and Wahoo taken on the offshore sea mounts but not on a daily basis. Sailfish are being caught daily in small numbers.
FRESHWATER – The rivers have been high and dirty but some days are fishable and are fishing good. Machaca are the main species. Contact Pez Rey to see how the rivers are at the moment.

Ashley Gage and her first.

Ashley Gage gets "Hers" before he got "His"!

Michael Yurkowsky gets "His" to complete the "His and Hers".
Inshore – The river mouths are dirty this week with a lot of rains in the mountains. This produces a large “current line” that can hold Snook and Corvina that patrol in and out of the color changes. This week Captain Pepsi caught Roosters in the 20 to 30 lbs. range, Mackerel, Trippletail and Trevally.
Offshore – There has been a lot of debris pushed out into the ocean by the rains and the Dorado are everywhere. Sailfish were caught this week by every boat but Dorado is what is keeping everybody busy. Wahoo have also been taken around the seamounts.
Freshwater – The rivers are really hit or miss right now with the color and flows changing daily. Contact us to see what yesterday’s conditions were like.

Hello Folks! Sorry for the absence of fishing reports but I wanted to leave the photos of my best friend Bella up at the top of the page as a tribute for a while. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Fortunately the fishing has been as good as always.
Inshore – The Roosterfishing is great with Gallos being seen every trip. Jacks, Mackerel, Trevally and Snapper are caught regularly and Snook and Corvina are near the shore and rivermouths. There have been some big swells so we recommend that you check with us to see what the shore fishing will be like. We have had Humpback whales in the area with calves for the past two months and we are spotting them almost daily.
Offshore – Sailfish are caught daily and sometimes not far out. Dorado are everywhere, outside of the coastal current lines.
Freshwater – The rivers are for the most part high and dirty, but they clear up from time to time, so contact us to see if the conditions allow a trip. The Machaca have been eating flies as well as spinners when they can see them.

Alexia's first fishy!

Happy to see the Whales.

Su primer Gallo!

Tambien, su primero!

Hooray! Up she rises off the starboard bow!

Arrr! Tharr she blows matey!

The Roosterfish almost outweighs her!

Do we have any krill flies for Humpbacks?
Inshore – Great fishing these days with just about everything being caught inshore including Roosterfish, Snook, Snapper, Mackerel, Tuna, Skipjack, Bonito, even Sailfish and Wahoo are being seen. The Humpbacks we are seeing are about the only thing we aren’t prepared to cast to.
Offshore – More Sailfish are being caught recently but Dorado are still the most consistent action. Tuna are being caught when they are closer to the surface and being followed by predators.
Freshwater – The rivers are fishing great but are up and down and all around right now and the color changes frequently. Call us for daily updates.

Snappy!

Snook for snack.

It's a tripple (with a Trippletail)!
Inshore – Variety this week has been the norm. On one half day trip Pepsi’s client’s landed 3 Roosterfish of 25lbs. and up, 2 Snook in the 10 to 15 lbs. range, a 15 lbs. Cubera Snapper, a couple of Sierra Mackerel and some Trippletail. Other days have seen Roosters, Snapper, Snook, Mackerel, Jacks, Skipjack, Bonito, Needlefish, and others.
Offshore – Dorado are the hot item and there are plenty around. Wahoo and Sailfish are being caught also but Dorado are the main bite.
Freshwater – Machaca are still being caught as well as Snook and Roncador but the conditions are changing rapidly these days so it’s best if you contact us when you are in the area to see what it’s looking like.
Inshore – The weather is great and the fishing is tambien. Roosterfish are being caught almost every trip and Snook, Snapper, Corvina, Jacks and Mackerel are all seen weekly.
Offshore – The last week has seen Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Tuna and Wahoo all being caught by lucky anglers. The bite around structure is producing numerous Wahoo and Snapper.
Freshwater – Machaca and Roncador have both become much more active since their habitats are growing again. Fishing from inflatable drift provide the best action but wade fishing is very productive as well.

Teamwork

Inshore – The Roosters have decided to eat a little more liberally this past week with only a couple taking Lookdowns. Sierra Mackerel have been abundant with nice 10 plus pounders lurking with the younger fish. Snapper are eating well on bait around structure. Some great days have been seen around the river mouths with 5 and 7 Snook trips and Corvina being thrown into the mix.
Offshore – Every boat that has been going out has been catching Sailfish and Dorado with more of the later than the former. Marlin are still being caught weekly and Wahoo are being caught around the offshore structure.
Freshwater – The rivers are finally at a great level for float fishing trips in inflatable drift boats and the Machaca are very active now.

Dennis "DB" Bradick with a nice Corvina.

Inshore – The Roosterfish are very active around structure but are reluctant to eat most anything except Lookdowns and Sardina. Snook are being taken in the river mouths and there are Sierra Mackerel in the open water that have will eat artificial lures. Larger poppers can bring action with Snapper near structure in the morning and evening.
Offshore – The fishing is great with Sailfish and Dorado seen daily and Marlin are still being caught weekly. The Tuna bite comes and goes but they are around and not just the little guys.
Freshwater – Rivers are just starting to fill and we are expecting good things. Last trip to the Savegre produced a lot of smaller Machaca and Roncador but no big guys are up in the rivers yet.

From Russia with love.

Gallote!
Inshore - Sardinas are finally showing up in small numbers, late but better than never, possibly due to the mixed up weather in the area. There have been overcast days and some rain that is unusual for this time of year, but the fishing has been great with other baits, Mullet and Palomettas. This week fly anglers have caught Bonito, Pacific Jack Crevalle, Roosterfish, Sierra Mackerel and Dorado with streamers and floating lines while aboard Pez Rey 1 with Leonardo “Pepsi” Maraina.
Offshore – The Harry Gray fly fishing tournament is in full swing with the leader at this point being Frenzy with a total of 13 Sailfish, 2 Blue Marlin and 7 Dorado. All of the boats in the local fleet are fishing this week and the results have been good all around.
Freshwater – The rivers are dropping rapidly but the fishing is still good. Yesterdays trip with two fly anglers was productive with several Machaca and small Snook to the boat.
